What Causes Large Pores?
Large pores are a common skin problem, one that can be caused by many different things. You may have inherited large pores from your parents, or they may be yet one more side effect of aging, as skin loses elasticity and begins to stretch out as we age, making pores larger. Larger pores may be the result of years of not using quality skincare products or not having an effective daily skincare routine – over time, dead skin cells can build up in pores and stretch them out. There are a few things you can try at home to shrink those pores: make sure you wear sunscreen every day; wash your face twice a day with a gentle product that doesn’t clog pores; use a product with retinol before bed to really clean skin (although you shouldn’t use products with retinol or retinyl palmitate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding); and make sure to wear sun screen every time you go outside.
